Salary Packaging

As a not-for-profit organisation, SAAS offers staff the opportunity to Salary Package. This is a way of structuring your income so that you may pay for a wide range of everyday items and expenses whilst paying less tax.


SAAS’s preferred Super fund is HESTA. Staff have the option of joining other industry Super funds if they wish to do so and they need to communicate this to Payroll.

Professional Development

SAAS has an excellent Training and Development Program which continues to strengthen the skills and knowledge of our staff and volunteers. We offer an extensive orientation program as a welcoming and inclusive way to new staff members. We conduct four mandatory training days during the year to ensure that all our staff have the opportunity to attend at least one. These training days are conducted by internal and external expert professionals who provide guidance and support with the variety of topics covered.

Health and Safety

At SAAS we believe that all staff have the right to work and live in a safe and secure environment and our commitment is to make this a safe and supportive workplace. We have regular OH&S training and initiatives such as “no lift” programs and “zero tolerance to bullying” program have been embraced by all.

Employee Assistance Program

At SAAS we make every effort to ensure that our staff are happy and content both at this workplace and their personal life. We are also aware that from time to time, the balance in-between these two may be affected. Our Employee Assistance Program is a confidential counselling service for use by any staff in need of professional help, support and advice.

Employee Recognition Program

At SAAS, we value the efforts and contribution of our staff in upholding the Mission, Vision and Values of the organisation and by continually striving towards improving the quality of care and services we provide. Our Team Member of the Month is a monthly award nominated by our community to staff who have excelled in one or all of the following areas:

  • Performance Competency and;
  • Teamwork

The team members are announced at the end of each month and celebrated with residents and staff.
